Male models spontaneously stripped down to boxers for a good cause. Literally donating the suits off their backs, models will disrobe as they push a clothing rack of suits in downtown Toronto and donate their suits in real-time to a Moores retail store at 100 Yonge Street.
The impactful experiential marketing events boosted PR and media impressions across Toronto, Calgary and Montreal markets.
Moores is encouraging Canadians to “Give the Suit Off Your Back” during their annual Canadian Suit Drive in an effort to help disadvantaged men and women who are transitioning back into the workforce. On July 2, male models will hit the streets of downtown Toronto to raise awareness for the campaign. Models will draw crowds by stripping their suits and walking down the streets in boxers, collecting clothing items as they make their way to the nearest Moores store where they will donate the suits off their backs.
This is the fifth year Moores, Canada’s largest specialty menswear retailer, has hosted the Canadian Suit Drive. During the month of July, Moores will collect donations of men’s and women’s suits, shirts, jackets, pants, ties, belts and shoes, and give them to more than 60 local recipient organizations across Canada who provide job readiness programs for those seeking employment. This year, Moores aims to collect over 50,000 donations, which will be accepted
from July 1-31 at any Moores location across the country. As a thank you, donors will receive 50 per cent off their next purchase at Moores (excluding shoes, clearance, and exceptional value items).
To help spread the word, Moores is asking consumers to post about the Canadian Suit Drive on social media. Moores will donate $1 (up to $10,000) each time consumers do one or more of the following:
